We specialise in the hand-cutting of heritage keys and restoration of antique doors and locks, such as those found on old churches, listed buildings and stately homes.
Traditional methods are used to hand craft replacement parts and new keys, returning these treasured pieces of lock history back to their former glory. We source rare woods to enable us to carry out sensitive repairs on doors in keeping with old buildings.
We have worked on many old church doors and locks in the area including St Charles Hull and St Josephs church Hull. These old warded locks are not available today meaning that when faults occur or parts break we have to overcome these problems by means of fabricating new parts. Then keys are hand cut to each individual lock, demonstrating the true artistry of Locksmithing.
At BC Master Locksmiths we are passionate about doors and locks.
If you have an old lock or door that you want us to repair or cut new keys for please send us some good quality pictures of it and we should be able to give you a quote for the work required. Alternatively we can attend site and undertake a free survey.
Churches and public buildings must conform to standard BS EN 1125. The standard is intended for all panic bolt, push bar and touch bar devices which will be used in any environment open to members of the public. If you require any advice on the above or advice on any other regulations, BS (British Standard) EN (European Norm) please get in touch with us.
